How did we start Soma?
The pandemic has shown that remote work could be a viable option for many companies. As the world is slowly returning to normal, we face the complex decision of choosing between remote work and returning to the office. While many companies have abandoned remote work and returned to the office, we ultimately decided to remain remote and create our platform, Soma, to give us the best of both worlds while minimizing the drawbacks. This would allow us to continue enjoying remote work's benefits while keeping our team safe and productive.
How does Soma work?
Soma is a virtual office designed to make remote work easier and more accessible. It's highly user-friendly and requires only a computer, mobile device, or tablet with a microphone and camera. Once you log in to the application, you can create an avatar and a simple profile with your name and team, making it easier to collaborate with your colleagues.
After setting up your account, you can access the virtual business district. This is the central hub of all virtual spaces, from which you can explore the environment by moving your avatar. Once settled in, you can head to your office and interact with colleagues in real-time. You can also share your screen with team members and feel like you're working in a traditional office environment. We've designed this virtual space to be intuitive, so it’s easy to use and straight to the point!
